it didn't work. I'm going to have to wait and get it sorted another time. I can do no more, and I have apologised for my loss of temper, which made me feel better, even if there is no further resolution. I find it very odd someone who feels it's OK to turn up on my doorstep at any time, including some unacceptable times, and expect instant attention and hospitality from yours truly regardless of the convenience, doesn't like it when I ask for a conversation, and expect him to respond there and then.
So, I'm recovering with a plate of toast, sitting watching TV... um, and singing along to Aristocats.

I think toast does have restorative qualities.
And sometimes I think losing our temper is a good thing - maybe not so nice for the other person, but a necessary release of internal pressure for us!
